It's a 1957 Chevy 150 custom. I bought it in Sept. 1991 from Carl Rossler, nationally known builder of racing ant street
machine transmissions. He had the car approximately 8 years in his storage facility, saving it for his son to restore!!
Carl bought the car from Gary Grach, Grach's Speed Shop, which had the car a few years waiting to build a race car out of
it!! However he did not have time to start the project! He bought the car from a guy out of Texas!! So that
takes it back into the late 70's that I can account for the whereabouts of the 57. This is one of the nicest and cleanest
150 around the area!! Straight as an arrow!!
OK, I had a frame up restoration done by Mauro's, a local professional restoration
shop, started in Oct. 1993 and completed in May 1995. Every part that I replaced was bought from either
Classic Chevy in Florida, Danchuk in California or Summit racing equipment which are probably the three best known
parts dealers in the nation!! I used nothing but the best parts on my 57 Chevy!!!
The color is a Corvette Bright Aqua metallic. The engine is a GM crate
350 ZZ3/365hp. The transmission is of course a Rossler 350 Turbo with a shift kit. Rear-end is out of a 68 Nova
(sorry, don't know the gear ratio!) It has front disc brakes and I had the rear drum wheel cylinders and brake shoes replaced
in 2007. Also, installed a set of Classic instruments this past year. I tried to do something new every year!!
In 2006 I had a new PRC Polished Aluminum radiator with dual 11" fans and matching core support installed. 2006, I redid
the entire upholstery, customizing the seats and even did the trunk!! The wheels are Billet Specialties 15" and
wrapped around are P215/60R15 Goodyear T/A tires. When I did the disc brakes I also dropped it 3"
and installed new shocks, frt and rear anti-sway bars, rear shocks and frt lowering coil springs.
